The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
