An aircraft hovering over a well-attended California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers observed.

Footage posted on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl near the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a steps near the coastal road.

First Aid Details

The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were taken to hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.

Three persons on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were still under review.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

Authorities said the helicopter was connected to an yearly “Cars with Copters” fundraising event planned for Sunday.
